Frequently Asked Questions
Most online platforms are built to mark answers, not teach concepts.
They work well — but only if your child already knows what they’re doing.
Those platforms offer answer sheets, instant feedback, or automated quizzes. If your child gets something wrong, they simply see a red X or the correct answer. But if they didn’t understand the method in the first place, how do they improve?
They don’t.
Acadepic is different.
We teach first. Then guide your child through practice. And finally, we provide a full teacher-led video explanation of the task — so they can see not just what the answer is, but why and how to get there.
It’s the difference between guessing and growing. Between ticking boxes and building confidence. Between just doing maths — and actually learning it.
Acadepic doesn’t assume your child already understands.
We’re here to teach them — every step of the way.
In every great classroom, learning follows a familiar rhythm:
The teacher explains the concept clearly.
The pupils try it themselves, applying what they’ve just learned.
Then the teacher steps back in — not just to mark the work, but to show where things went right… or where things went wrong, and why.
At Acadepic, we’ve brought that same structure online — and made it possible for children to experience it independently:
📽️ Teach: Every lesson starts with a short, clear explanation video.
✍️ Apply: Pupils then complete a matching task to practise the skill.
👩🏫 Consolidate: Finally, a teacher walks through the same task, showing the correct methods — helping pupils correct mistakes, build confidence, and truly understand.
It’s not just answers, and it’s not just automated marking — it’s real support, delivered in the same way great teachers do it… but available any time, at any pace.
Yes. Every Acadepic lesson is designed for true independence. The teaching video explains the concept clearly, the worksheet lets them practise, and the teacher walkthrough shows every method so they can check and learn from mistakes.
Maths can be challenging — and that’s okay. Confidence isn't lost when making mistakes, it's lost when students are unsure where they went wrong. Our consolidation videos walk through the exact task they completed, showing them where they were correct but also where they might have gone wrong and how to fix it. This continuously builds confidence and independence over time.
Yes — Acadepic can be your child’s main source of maths support.
Our teacher-guided videos and full method walkthroughs mean children can learn clearly and independently at home.
But it’s also an excellent companion to tutoring, giving students structured practice and proper teaching between sessions. Many tutors choose to include Acadepic as part of their support.

Yes — Acadepic works for children who need step-by-step clarity AND those who want to stretch their methodology. Every lesson is structured so students understand the method, not just the answer.
Yes, students can view and revisit lessons whenever they like meaning that families can use a subscription for multiple children. We would recommend that you don't mark a lesson as "complete" until both students have accessed it to ensure no topics are missed.
Please note, if a family have children at GCSE level and the other at KS2 SATs then a subsctiption to each would be required to access the appropriate lessons.
Most lessons will take around 30 - 45 minutes including lesson videos and task. Because each lesson is short and focused, it’s easy to fit into busy tuition and revision schedules without overwhelming your child. Having instant access to every lesson with your membership means you can choose when and where learning will fit best into your family's schedule.
Yes, Acadepic's large focus is on teaching methodology behind answers meaning that it will reinforce school learning or correct any misunderstandings.
No. The system is designed for pupils to work without constant supervision. Parents often check in at the end to see progress, but you don’t need to sit beside them for the whole session.
